About the role

The Director of Programmes & Projects is a senior strategic leader responsible for designing and delivering high‑impact programmes that reinforce Hong Kong’s status as a global hub for art, design and innovation. As a member of the Executive Management Team, the role shapes talent development, builds international pipelines and drives the city’s creative reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on strategy, shape programmes and align initiatives with policy priorities.
• Champion local design talent, provide coaching and create pathways for global exposure.
• Lead end‑to‑end development and execution of the Flagship Art & Design Program, overseeing marketing, budgeting, logistics and evaluation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international stakeholders, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
• Manage cross‑functional teams, fostering collaboration across disciplines.
• Ensure governance, compliance, secure funding and maintain operational accountability.

Required profile

• University graduate with 15‑18+ years of experience in the art, design, creative industries or programme leadership.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale international programmes.
• Deep understanding of Hong Kong’s and the world’s creative ecosystems.
• Strong marketing or agency background with expertise in audience engagement.
• International exposure and cultural sensitivity in stakeholder management.
• Robust people‑management, compliance and governance capabilities.
