Director of Quality Control, Hardlines

About the role

The Director of Quality Control, Hardlines will lead quality assurance efforts across product development and production, ensuring that every item meets Quince’s high standards for design, safety, construction, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Product Development teams to identify and mitigate quality concerns early in the product lifecycle.
• Govern pre‑production and production quality controls to guarantee flawless execution.
• Ensure products comply with domestic and international design, safety, construction, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and execute Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for new product developments.
• Create product testing protocols and inspection plans, defining test criteria, pass/fail thresholds, sample sizes, and overseeing their successful execution.
• Maintain governance of test protocols and inspection processes.
