Director, Product Delivery & Governance

About the role

Manulife is looking for an insurance professional with strong product, governance and regulatory experience to lead product delivery and governance. The Director provides strategic leadership over product implementation, product governance and day 2 product management, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, compliantly and in line with business objectives. The role suits someone who can own complex initiatives end to end and balance commercial needs with risk management and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Product Owner or Delivery Lead for product initiatives across the product lifecycle, partnering with cross-functional teams
• Deliver training and briefing sessions to internal stakeholders if needed
• Ensure delivery capacity, prioritisation and execution align with business growth objectives
• Establish and own the enterprise product delivery strategy and operating model, championing agile and modern delivery practices
• Own the development of user requirements and partner with IT BA/IT PM to deliver system changes supporting product initiatives
• Communicate desired outcomes based on the agreed product roadmap and share insights on product delivery, technology and market trends
• Work with legal and compliance to obtain approvals and ensure materials meet regulatory requirements

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in finance, marketing, business or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant insurance experience with a strong track record in project delivery and execution
• In-depth knowledge of financial services and industry practices
• Thorough knowledge of compliance standards and practices
• Ability to influence others beyond formal authority, inside and outside the organisation
