Educational Assistant – Support Classroom Learning

About the role

The Kennedy School is looking for a dedicated Educational Assistant to join its vibrant community. You will work closely with teachers and students to create a supportive learning environment where every child can belong, learn and thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with students to foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Assist teachers with preparing resources, organising materials and other administrative tasks.
• Lead small‑group sessions, reinforcing new concepts and helping students stay focused.
• Adapt support for pupils with diverse learning needs, ensuring full participation.
• Supervise students during break times, manage playground dynamics and uphold safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to monitor academic progress and emotional resilience.

Required profile

• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Sound behaviour‑management skills and a calm, patient demeanor.
• Team‑player who can take initiative and adapt to changing needs.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to receive constructive feedback.
• Previous experience working with children is an advantage.
