Entertainment Technician – Event Audio/Video/Lighting

About the role

Join Hong Kong Disneyland’s Entertainment Technician Event Team to install, operate, and maintain audio, video, and lighting systems for seasonal and special events across the park and resort. You will work on a variety of live shows, conventions, and one‑off events, ensuring technical excellence and guest safety.

Key responsibilities

• Install, program, mix, and operate lighting, audio, and video consoles for live shows and special events.
• Load in, operate, and clean up equipment for conventions, seasonal productions, and hotel events.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all entertainment technical elements, including Genie lifts.
• Assist technical production management with equipment setup and ensure proper care of all gear.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, climbing, and standing for long periods.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years live‑entertainment experience with increasing responsibility.
• Fluent in both Chinese and English (verbal and written).
• Full‑time availability for flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a proven safety‑first mindset with a clean driving record.
• Understanding of electrical systems, data signal flow, and ability to work safely at heights.

Required skills

• Audio live mixing (FOH and monitors) and audio gear setup/tear‑down.
• Programming and operating digital audio consoles; experience with Q‑SYS, Dante.
• Video system installation and operation; media server and projection‑mapping knowledge.
• LED wall installation.
• Reading lighting plots and programming lighting consoles, including moving lights.
• Basic lighting principles.
• Networking, programming, and general computer skills (preferred).
