Export Agent, Gateway

About the role

As an Export Agent, Gateway you will manage capacity, costs and operational efficiency for air freight shipments, acting as the primary liaison between airlines, commercial teams and customers. You will ensure accurate system updates, handle special cargo, and support business development across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with airline reservation and CX teams to confirm capacity usage and costs.
• Manage the full shipment lifecycle from order to delivery, providing proactive updates on milestones.
• Identify risks (capacity, delays, customs, documentation) and trigger early mitigation actions.
• Drive exception handling and service recovery in partnership with operations, CX and airline partners.
• Ensure compliance with customer SOPs, monitor KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate smooth information flow among operations, finance, billing and commercial stakeholders.
• Support billing accuracy and cost visibility, highlighting potential revenue leakage.

Required profile

• Education: HKCEE and DSE or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in air freight, logistics, customer service or air operations.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience using airline reservation platforms.
