Expressions of Interest – Teacher of Media & Arts (Secondary Schools)

About the role

ESF is seeking enthusiastic educators to join its secondary schools as Media & Arts teachers for the 2026/2027 academic year. The role combines instruction in media theory, film studies, and visual arts, fostering creativity and critical thinking across all year levels.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and continuously improve a dynamic media and arts curriculum.
• Facilitate the IB Diploma Film course, guiding students through independent filmmaking projects.
• Teach a range of visual art techniques, integrating traditional methods with digital tools.
• Demonstrate artistic processes in class and support student‑led projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance cross‑subject learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a subject area with a PGCE/PGDE.
• Understanding of the MYP framework and IB curriculum is advantageous.
• Newly qualified teachers or candidates with experience in a recognised educational institution.
• Eligibility for Teacher Registration with the Hong Kong Education Bureau.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
