About the role

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology invites applications for multiple faculty positions at all ranks – Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. Candidates will join a vibrant department of 30+ faculty members, supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate education and research.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead an externally funded research programme in areas such as robotics, aerospace, advanced materials, smart manufacturing, or sustainable energy systems.
• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervise student research projects.

Required profile

• PhD in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong record of scholarly publications.
• Recognised research experience and/or relevant industrial experience.
