Finance Manager – ESG Reporting

About the role

Johnson Electric is seeking a Finance Manager (or Assistant Finance Manager) to lead financial reporting and ESG reporting initiatives. The role combines traditional finance responsibilities with a focus on sustainability governance and special project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage accurate monthly, quarterly, interim and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal policies.
• Oversee group consolidation and provide financial insights to senior management.
• Monitor governance policies and KPIs for inclusion in annual and ESG reports.
• Stay current on ESG regulations and reporting requirements such as Climate Risk Assessment.
• Lead finance‑related special projects, including process improvements, system implementations and M&A support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; CPA/CA preferred.
• 5‑8 years of experience in financial reporting, board paper preparation and annual report production.
• Experience with ESG initiatives or reporting is a plus.
• Big Four audit background considered an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and HK Listing Rules.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks such as GRI and IFRS S2.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis and ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
