General Ledger Accountant

About the role

LRQA is looking for a seasoned General Ledger Accountant to join its Greater China finance team. The role focuses on month‑end closing, accurate recording of financial entries, and supporting decision‑making through reliable reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the G/L leader in month‑end closing, including consolidation review, revenue recognition, and accrued/deferred income reconciliation.
• Oversee business direct costs such as subcontractor fees and travel expenses, and prepare related accrual journals.
• Calculate and post transfer pricing entries, monitor intercompany imbalances, and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules for external audit and tax filing, and collaborate with external advisors on statutory accounts.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and best practices while ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting and audit experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multicultural, cross‑functional teams.
• High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Navision, Microsoft Dynamics, BPC, SAP, or ByDesign.
