German & French Teacher – Secondary (German International Stream)

About the role

The German Swiss International School seeks a dynamic teacher to deliver German and French instruction to secondary students in the German International Stream. The role requires up‑to‑date knowledge of differentiated learning, assessment and reporting, and a commitment to fostering each learner’s full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the German curriculum and French language lessons in line with the International Abitur framework.
• Implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs and abilities.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and produce accurate reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues across both German and English streams to enhance interdisciplinary learning.

Required profile

• Teacher training qualification from Germany, Switzerland or Austria.
• Native‑level German fluency and ability to teach the German curriculum.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Proven secondary‑level teaching experience is desirable.
• Cultural sensitivity, teamwork and strong communication abilities.
