Group Finance Director

About the role

The Group Finance Director will own the finance function for TOKEN2049 and SuperAI, acting as a trusted commercial partner to the founders. This senior, hands‑on role combines rigorous statutory oversight in Hong Kong with strategic financial leadership across multiple jurisdictions as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute group‑wide financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Produce accurate, decision‑ready reporting for the group, individual businesses, events and entities across Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe, the UAE and the United States.
• Manage multi‑currency operations and consolidate financial performance across all jurisdictions.
• Ensure statutory compliance for Hong Kong entities, including profits tax reporting, audited financial statements and coordination with auditors, tax advisers and secretarial providers.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, banking, controls, corporate structuring and compliance for international operations.
• Partner directly with founders on major investments, expansion opportunities and resource allocation.
• Lead or support major contract negotiations, partnership reviews and complex commercial agreements.
• Evaluate M&A opportunities, including strategic fit, valuation, financial modelling, due diligence and deal execution.
• Build scalable financial systems and controls that improve visibility without adding bureaucracy.
• Lead and develop a lean finance team of one to two Finance Managers.
• Identify financial, commercial and contractual risks, challenge assumptions and provide clear recommendations.

Required profile

• Extensive finance leadership experience, preferably in a senior commercial finance role.
• Proven ability to operate in multi‑currency, multi‑jurisdictional environments.
• Strong track record of statutory compliance, audit coordination and tax reporting.
• Experience partnering with CEOs or founders on strategic decisions.
• Demonstrated expertise in M&A evaluation, financial modelling and deal execution.
• Ability to build and lead a high‑performing, lean finance team.
