Head of Human Resources – Hong Kong

About the role

The Head of Human Resources will act as a strategic HR business partner for the Hong Kong leadership team of a multinational consumer/retail company. This senior role is responsible for shaping people strategy, driving organisational effectiveness and ensuring operational excellence across all HR and administration functions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Hong Kong leadership team to translate business objectives into actionable people plans.
• Collaborate with Regional HR, Shared Services and Centres of Excellence to localise global standards while supporting rapid business growth.
• Lead workforce and succession planning, talent development and hiring strategies aligned with growth priorities.
• Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment, performance management, compensation reviews and benefits benchmarking.
• Drive employee engagement, employer branding and a positive workplace culture in Hong Kong.
• Manage HR operations, administrative services, vendor coordination and facility initiatives, ensuring compliance and service excellence.
• Continuously improve HR processes, systems and reporting through data‑driven insights and analytics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience in multinational FMCG or large organisations, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong labour laws and employment regulations.
• Proven experience as an HR business partner within matrix organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese.
