Heavy Maintenance Supply Chain & Global Logistics Lead

About the role

This senior position sits within Cathay Pacific's Engineering Department, focusing on ensuring material readiness for all base and outstation maintenance activities in Hong Kong. You will support the manager in delivering cost‑effective supply‑chain and global‑logistics strategies while overseeing spares, tooling, and pooling arrangements with other operators.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve material readiness for planned maintenance at outstations and address base‑maintenance shortages through cost‑effective part sourcing.
• Manage spare‑parts readiness and replenishment for new and existing outstations.
• Provide strong inventory‑management support to meet cabin‑metric targets.
• Define outstation stocking and pooling strategies, forecast unscheduled consumption, and monitor logistics service‑provider performance.
• Lead LEAN projects to streamline processes and reduce maintenance costs.
• Liaise with suppliers, planning, and technical teams to reschedule tasks due to material shortages.
• Control budget expenses and assist the Inventory Manager with functional strategies and dashboards.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in aviation, supply‑chain or engineering.
• Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Logistics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical, commercial and financial acumen.
• Data‑driven mindset for cost and process improvement.
• Excellent supplier management, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proven ability to lead projects independently and drive excellence.
• Adaptable, responsive to change and capable of leading a team in parts sourcing and AOG recovery.
