Human Rights Associate / Senior Associate (Hong Kong)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate or Senior Associate with a genuine interest in human rights law to join our well‑established firm in Hong Kong. The role involves handling public interest cases, conducting advocacy, and contributing to strategic litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct advocacy in Hong Kong Courts and Tribunals, including judicial review matters.
• Perform legal research and draft submissions for strategic human‑rights litigation.
• Manage client relationships, providing advice to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders on complex cases.
• Assist in handling cases across the firm’s practice areas such as immigration, discrimination, family, employment, and criminal law.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with a current Practising Certificate.
• At least three years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in public interest or human‑rights matters.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and innovative thinking.
• Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
