Instructor / Associate Instructor – Gemology Education

About the role

The GIA Hong Kong Campus is looking for a motivated Instructor or Associate Instructor to deliver high‑quality gemology education. This position supports both teaching and administrative functions, providing a pathway toward a full Instructor role within a multicultural learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver GIA courses, corporate trainings and seminars using appropriate instruments and equipment.
• Present material in line with GIA standards and maintain academic integrity.
• Create an inclusive, culturally sensitive classroom and provide constructive feedback.
• Proctor examinations, evaluate assignments and submit grades and attendance on schedule.
• Support day‑to‑day school operations, classroom setup and facility standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma (mandatory).
• Completion of Form 6 or higher; university degree preferred.
• Prior experience in the jewelry trade or education sector is advantageous.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of gemstones, diamonds and gemological identification techniques.
• Proficiency in operating gemological equipment.
• Strong understanding of current jewelry industry trends.
