Insurance Risk & Financial Management Officer

About the role

Prudential is looking for an Officer in Insurance Risk and Financial Management. The role supports the business in understanding emerging insurance risks through experience monitoring and reporting, and helps set operating assumptions and model risks under an economic valuation regime.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out deep-dive studies, run regular experience monitoring and report on emerging insurance risks so they can be modelled under an economic valuation regime (for example mortality improvements, policyholder options and behaviour).
• Support the setting of operating assumptions using experience and a long-term view, considering financial metrics across earning and solvency bases.
• Help transform the data analytics process with advanced predictive tools such as Alteryx, Databricks and Power BI, and build experience dashboards.
• Support the organization of insurance risk advisory committees (Persistency and Claims) and prepare meeting materials and actuarial experience analyses.

Required profile

• University graduate in Actuarial Science or an equivalent subject.
• At least 2 years of actuarial working experience.
• Good exam progress with the Society of Actuaries or an equivalent body.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Prophet and data analytics tools (Alteryx, Databricks, Power BI) is an advantage.
