Internal Audit Manager

About the role

The Internal Audit Manager will report to the Director of Internal Audit and act as an individual contributor responsible for planning, executing and reporting audit engagements for Sun Life Hong Kong and its subsidiaries. You will develop audit programs, test key controls and provide actionable recommendations to improve governance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop audit programs and testing strategies for key controls.
• Execute audit tests within budget and document work papers according to department standards.
• Analyze results, assess design and operating effectiveness of controls, and identify findings.
• Prepare and present internal audit reports with recommendations to management.
• Lead opening and closing meetings with business units and monitor resolution of audit findings.
• Assist in developing the annual audit plan for the assigned client group.
• Recommend revisions to audit policies, procedures and programs.
• Represent Internal Audit at management meetings and build relationships with business partners.

Required profile

• College or university degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• Professional accounting or audit designation preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of audit or financial experience, preferably in insurance or asset management.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset.
