Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – School of Innovation

About the role

The School of Innovation at the University of Hong Kong seeks dynamic academics to join as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. The appointment is for a two‑year fixed‑term contract, starting 1 January 2027 (or as soon as possible), with the possibility of renewal based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver interdisciplinary curricula that equip students with core technological skills such as programming, data science, mathematical modelling and statistics.
• Employ innovative pedagogical approaches to support learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Supervise student projects and provide academic advising.
• Participate in admissions, outreach events and liaison activities to promote the School.
• Contribute to departmental committees and administrative duties.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated high‑quality contributions to higher education.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Experience collaborating with secondary schools (local or overseas) is advantageous.
• Five or more years of tertiary‑level teaching or equivalent professional experience for Senior Lecturer consideration.
