Legal Counsel – Crypto Product & Regulatory Advisor

About the role

Bybit is seeking a Legal Counsel to guide the regulatory and compliance aspects of its global cryptocurrency product suite. The role will work closely with product, technology, and business teams to ensure new offerings meet jurisdictional requirements while supporting the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal and regulatory advisor for new product launches, features, and initiatives on the global platform.
• Conduct regulatory gap analyses for target jurisdictions to assess permissibility and risk profiles.
• Develop and maintain product compliance frameworks, playbooks, and decision matrices for the global product team.
• Advise cross‑functional teams on regulatory constraints, user eligibility, geo‑restrictions, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Assess regulatory classification of products (spot, derivatives, lending, staking, earn, NFTs, etc.) across jurisdictions.
• Monitor global regulatory developments and proactively flag risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with Licensing Counsel and external advisors to align product launch timelines with licensing strategy.
• Support the creation of internal approval processes and governance review workflows for new product rollouts.
• Prepare regulatory risk assessments and internal memos for senior leadership decision‑making.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent); admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction preferred.
• 3–6 years of experience in regulatory law, financial services law, technology law, or crypto‑related advisory.
• Strong understanding of cryptocurrency product structures and their regulatory treatment across jurisdictions.
• Ability to conduct multi‑jurisdictional regulatory analysis and present findings in clear, commercially actionable terms.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
