Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support for our business operations. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements while advising senior management on regulatory and compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate distribution, procurement, marketing, licensing and service agreements.
• Advise on corporate, commercial, regulatory and compliance issues across relevant jurisdictions.
• Support M&A transactions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, including due diligence and documentation.
• Identify and manage legal risks, providing strategic input to senior management.
• Coordinate with external counsel, regulators and business partners as required.
• Conduct legal research and monitor legislative developments in all operating jurisdictions.
• Assist in developing internal policies, compliance programmes and training.
• Handle disputes, litigation and enforcement matters in collaboration with external counsel.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or equivalent; qualified to practice in Hong Kong or another common‑law jurisdiction.
• 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience, preferably with in‑house exposure to corporate/commercial law.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions, especially Southeast Asia and Mainland China, is a plus.
• Strong contract negotiation and drafting abilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
