Mobile Developer - Android (Cantonese Speaking)

About the role

Appnovation is looking for a skilled Mobile Application Developer to join its Hong Kong team. You will design, build, and maintain innovative mobile applications for Android (and optionally iOS) while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑quality mobile apps for Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Implement solutions using Java, Kotlin, Flutter, and SQL, adhering to industry standards.
• Integrate apps with backend services using XML, JSON, SOAP, and other web‑service technologies.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications for performance and usability.
• Stay current with emerging mobile development trends and best practices.
• Work closely with QA teams to conduct thorough testing and ensure quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in system design and mobile application development.
• Hands‑on experience developing production‑grade Java/Kotlin Android apps.
• Proficiency with XML, JSON, SOAP, and web‑service integration.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication in both Cantonese and English.
• Experience with Swift, Objective‑C, Flutter or React Native is a plus.
