Modern Languages Teacher – ESF Secondary Schools (Expressions of Interest)

About the role

The English Schools Foundation is seeking experienced modern language teachers to join its secondary schools for the 2026/2027 academic year. Candidates will teach Spanish, French, Japanese or Chinese across the full secondary age range, including IB Standard and Higher Level courses.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in the Middle Years Programme, IB Diploma ab initio, and International GCSE curricula.
• Use student performance data to refine teaching strategies and curriculum design.
• Build inclusive learning environments and foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
• Participate actively in language faculty professional learning teams and contribute to collective initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a subject‑related degree with a PGCE/PGDE.
• Eligibility for Teacher Registration with the Hong Kong Education Bureau.
• Newly qualified teachers or those with experience in recognised educational institutions.
• Understanding of the MYP framework is advantageous.
