Montessori Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Montessori Teacher to lead a model classroom at our AIP Campus in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The role involves creating a prepared environment, guiding children aged 2‑6, and collaborating with assistant guides and mentors to uphold Guidepost Montessori standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, set up and maintain an aesthetically appealing, safe, and clean Montessori prepared environment.
• Provide close supervision to ensure child safety and compliance with city‑mandated teacher‑to‑child ratios.
• Present sequential Montessori lessons in line with Guidepost Montessori standards.
• Observe each child, document progress, strengths, interests and areas for improvement, and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Communicate regularly and individually with parents using approved tools (email, photo‑sharing software, newsletters).
• Deliver formal feedback to parents through progress reports, conferences, and portfolio preparation.
• Collaborate with assistant guides, mentors and the Head of School to solve challenging student issues.
• Open the classroom for parent tours, observations and staff visits.
• Participate in staff meetings, one‑on‑one supervision sessions, community outreach and professional development.

Required profile

• Degree in Early Childhood Education (PGDE/PGCE preferred).
• Montessori Certification (AMI or AMS) – mandatory.
• Native English speaker.
• Experience working with children aged 2‑6 years.
• Passion for the Montessori method and a growth‑mindset approach.
