Museum Educator

About the role

The Museum Educator will support the development and delivery of educational programmes that engage a wide range of audiences – from school groups and families to professionals and adult learners – within M+ Museum’s galleries and public spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, planning and delivering tours, workshops, talks and drop‑in events for diverse visitor groups.
• Contribute to programme evaluation, test runs and debriefings to ensure alignment with museum standards.
• Support visitor research to identify audience interests and needs.
• Help create training materials for fellow Museum Educators and supervise team members to maintain quality.
• Maintain learning‑programme resources and ensure venues meet museum standards.
• Stay informed about M+ collections, current exhibitions and upcoming educational events.

Required profile

• Recognised university degree in Arts Education, Museum Studies, Cultural Studies, Anthropology, Journalism, Hospitality, Public Relations or a related field.
• Teaching diploma or 2–3 years of experience as an instructor, docent or facilitator in arts or cultural organisations.
• Strong interest in contemporary art and museum education.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
