Occupational Health Specialist – 24‑Month Contract

About the role

Join the Group Medical Department as an Occupational Health Specialist on a 24‑month contract. You will support the company’s occupational health policies, medical benefits, fitness‑for‑duty assessments, and employee wellbeing initiatives, with a focus on the aviation industry.

Key responsibilities

• Act as subject‑matter expert advising on medical benefit planning, emergency & accident planning, and health promotion.
• Provide occupational health advice to business units, including end‑to‑end absence management and early return‑to‑work interventions.
• Coordinate pre‑employment examinations and fitness‑for‑duty assessments to meet Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD) requirements.
• Develop and review procedures for in‑flight medical incidents, including kits, assistance protocols, and hygiene monitoring.
• Support pandemic and infectious outbreak management, passenger accommodations for disabilities, and complaint investigations.
• Assist with the implementation of the Company Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Programme in line with HKCAD 373.
• Help organise and coordinate employee wellbeing events.

Required profile

• 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably across Internal Medicine, Coronary Care, and Emergency Medicine.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Experience in occupational medicine, medical insurance administration, or employee wellbeing is a plus.
• Valid nursing licence in Hong Kong; knowledge of the Hong Kong healthcare delivery system advantageous.
• Overseas medical training or work experience is beneficial.
• Strong analytical abilities with an advisory mindset.
• Excellent spoken and written English; Chinese (Cantonese or Putonghua) an advantage.
