Onsite AV Support Technician – Hong Kong

About the role

The AV Technician will be based on a client site in Hong Kong and work closely with AVI‑SPL’s APAC teams to deliver on‑site and remote event support for fully integrated conference rooms, boardrooms and large multi‑divisible spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote technical audio/video support for video‑conference systems and webcasting platforms.
• Plan, process and administer technology requests for onsite, virtual and hybrid meetings.
• Act as the first point of contact for internal teams and customers, launching and troubleshooting video meetings or webcast events and managing tickets in ServiceNow.
• Monitor customer environments and devices using company and client tools, triage inbound tickets and escalate when necessary.
• Deliver Tier 1 support for video‑conferencing, AV devices, UCC applications and related infrastructure.
• Schedule webcasting platforms and produce webcast events, including testing and live monitoring.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of AV, video‑conferencing or webcasting experience.
• Valid driver’s licence meeting AVI‑SPL standards.
• Flexibility to work after‑hours and weekends when required.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift equipment and work on construction‑type sites.

Required skills

• Experience with meeting platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Knowledge of AV control systems (AMX, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, ClearOne).
• Basic PC troubleshooting and electronics understanding.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing.
