Pastry Chef

About the role

The Pastry Chef will lead the pastry section at Harlan’s Bar & Restaurant, ensuring high‑quality desserts and baked goods that complement our fine Western and continental menu. This role works closely with the Head Chef to maintain a smooth and creative kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage the pastry section, coordinating with the Head Chef.
• Prepare pastries, baked goods and confections following established recipes.
• Monitor daily production, food storage and portion control.
• Assist the kitchen team with food and pastry preparation as needed.
• Support overall kitchen operations and step in for specific areas when required.
• Ensure food quality, hygiene standards and safety are consistently met.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of relevant F&B experience, preferably in pastry or hotel kitchens.
• Strong written and verbal communication in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge of food portion control and cost management.
• Passion for cuisine, team‑player attitude and cheerful demeanor.
