Penetration Testing Engineer

About the role

Join the Cybersecurity Centre of a leading telecom provider to protect large‑scale enterprise environments. You will lead offensive security projects, research emerging attack techniques, and help shape the company’s defensive posture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of enterprise networks.
• Research cutting‑edge attack techniques and develop custom tools.
• Perform penetration testing for large enterprises.
• Lead red‑team assessments for major clients.
• Execute offensive and defensive exercises at industry, provincial and national levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in network security, computer science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of penetration‑testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and Mobile TOP 10 vulnerabilities.
• Ability to conduct independent white‑box code reviews.
• Proficiency with penetration‑testing tools and the underlying principles.
• Competence in at least one programming language and ability to write code.
• Passion for security research and good team spirit.
• Familiarity with system security mechanisms and basic security development skills.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSWE or CISP‑PTE are a plus.

Required skills

• Penetration‑testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite).
• OWASP Top 10 and Mobile TOP 10 vulnerability expertise.
• White‑box code review techniques.
• Programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++).
• Offensive and defensive security techniques.
• Post‑exploitation methods, including domain penetration.
• Network security mechanisms.
• Security development capabilities.
• Certifications: OSCP, OSWE, CISP‑PTE.
