Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Officer – Multi‑Omics Mass Spectrometry

About the role

The Laboratory for Synthetic Chemistry and Chemical Biology (LSCCB) in Hong Kong Science Park is seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Officer to lead multi‑omics research projects. The successful candidate will head a team focused on mass‑spectrometry‑driven studies aimed at discovering new molecular medicines and diagnostics, particularly in cancer.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute proteomic, metabolomic and other omics experiments using advanced mass spectrometers.
• Lead a research team, supervise daily operations of mass‑spectrometry instruments, and ensure data quality.
• Develop quantitative and qualitative workflows for unknown substance evaluation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary scientists to translate findings into therapeutic and diagnostic applications.
• Prepare scientific reports, publications and present results at conferences.

Required profile

• PhD in Biomedical Science, Biological Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years of professional research experience with a strong publication record.
• Experience in cancer biology, proteomics, metabolomics or medicinal chemistry.

Required skills

• Operation of Orbitrap Astral, timsTOF Pro, Orbitrap Exploris 480 mass spectrometers.
• Proficiency with UPLC‑QTOF and UPLC‑QQQ platforms.
• Expertise in mass spectrometry, proteomics and metabolomics techniques.
