About the role

The Research Group of Computational Mathematics seeks a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to advance numerical analysis and scientific computing of challenging mathematical problems. The appointment lasts 2 to 3 years and offers a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement algorithms for low‑regularity solutions of nonlinear PDEs, including rough solutions, shocks, and viscosity solutions.
• Study geometric curvature flows, both extrinsic and intrinsic, and design computational methods for them.
• Investigate free‑boundary problems such as porous‑medium equations and related models.
• Conduct research on fluid‑structure interaction using advanced numerical techniques.
• Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at international conferences.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, or a closely related field.
• Strong background in analysis of PDEs, numerical analysis, or scientific machine learning.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and collaborate within a team.
