Principal / Staff Engineer - Compliance

About the role

OKX is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive compliance initiatives across its crypto exchange platform. You will work within a fast‑growing blockchain ecosystem, ensuring that the product meets regulatory standards while supporting the company’s mission to enable financial freedom.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement compliance frameworks and controls for the exchange and wallet services.
• Collaborate with legal, product, and engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead incident response and remediation efforts related to compliance breaches.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices for secure and compliant development.
• Stay current with global crypto regulations and advise senior leadership on emerging risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior engineering roles, preferably within fintech or crypto.
• Strong understanding of regulatory environments affecting virtual assets.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive complex projects to completion.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude toward risk management.
