Production Engineer – Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund

About the role

The hedge fund is looking for a Production Engineer to become the operational backbone of its global, low‑latency trading platform. You will own system reliability, proactively prevent incidents, and build observability that lets traders focus on generating returns.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence for the firm’s global trading platform through proactive risk mitigation.
• Own production incident response: triage, resolution, communication, and coordination across trading, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability infrastructure and dashboards.
• Investigate platform anomalies and trading‑related issues at the systems level.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks; create runbooks, playbooks, and tooling for scalable operations.
• Partner with front‑office traders to resolve time‑sensitive production problems and improve usability.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on failures and drive architectural improvements.

Required profile

• Proven track record in production engineering, SRE, or on‑call support for business‑critical systems in high‑stakes environments (trading, fintech, or equivalent).
• Deep hands‑on experience supporting real‑time, low‑latency trading platforms.
• Expert‑level troubleshooting across application, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
