Responsible Officer

About the role

Hex Trust is seeking a commercially minded, revenue‑driven Responsible Officer (RO) to lead the next stage of its expansion in Hong Kong. The RO will combine SFC regulatory oversight with active business development and trading desk growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Responsible Officer for SFC Type 1 and Type 4 regulated activities, driving revenue growth and commercial opportunities.
• Lead client acquisition, deal origination and institutional relationship management for securities, virtual‑asset OTC trading and tokenisation.
• Supervise trading, dealing and order execution, ensuring optimal trade lifecycles and liquidity management.
• Own the SFC licence application and maintenance, liaising directly with the Securities and Futures Commission.
• Collaborate with internal commercial, product and leadership teams to align expansion with regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Current holder of SFC Type 1 and Type 4 licences with a proven licence‑maintenance record.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, focusing on licensing and regulatory compliance.
• In‑depth knowledge of Hong Kong securities and futures regulations.
• Familiarity with virtual assets and blockchain technology is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of SFC regulatory framework (Type 1 & Type 4).
• Experience in licensing, compliance and liaison with regulatory bodies.
