Sales Representative – English Language Courses

About the role

The British Council is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Sales Representative to join its Sales and Customer Service team in Hong Kong. You will engage with prospective and returning learners, provide expert advice on English language programmes, and help them achieve their learning goals while contributing to the organisation’s commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality consultations across face‑to‑face, online and telephone channels.
• Assess learners’ needs and recommend the most suitable English language courses and services.
• Achieve individual and team sales, conversion and retention targets.
• Record all interactions, outcomes and customer data accurately in the CRM and Student Management Systems.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Teaching and Marketing teams to ensure a seamless learner journey.

Required profile

• Proficiency in English (CEFR B2) and Cantonese (CEFR C2).
• Previous experience in a sales, consultancy or advisory role with a customer‑facing focus.
• Knowledge of basic sales techniques such as questioning, matching needs and handling objections.
• Strong emotional intelligence and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
