Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the month‑end close for our Hong Kong operations and support the broader Stripe Terminal finance team. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, drive process automation, and uphold rigorous internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end month‑end close for HK operations, preparing detailed schedules, managing expense accruals, and compiling Stripe group reporting packages.
• Perform quarterly Accounts Receivable and inventory provision calculations, maintaining data integrity and compliance.
• Oversee high‑volume vendor invoice processing and trade Accounts Payable, ensuring accurate categorisation and timely payments.
• Develop automated workflows using Power Automate and VBA to streamline recurring financial tasks and accelerate reporting.
• Execute judgment‑heavy reconciliations for customer and supplier statements, maintain HK books of record, enforce budget checks, and support bi‑annual audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of corporate accounting experience with a proven record of optimising manual finance processes.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to meet tight, high‑stakes reporting deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining financial data integrity and enforcing internal controls.

• Advanced Excel (array formulas, nested IF statements).
• Power Automate.
• VBA programming.
