Senior Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to lead external audit engagements for a variety of investment funds and related vehicles. The role involves managing audit projects from planning through completion, interacting directly with fund managers and administrators, and ensuring high‑quality delivery within tight timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and manage external audits for investment funds, asset managers, and special purpose vehicles.
• Handle audit engagements across diverse fund structures, including hedge funds, private equity, mutual funds, Cayman funds, MPF schemes, and other investment vehicles.
• Review and audit fund financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HKFRS.
• Execute audit procedures covering NAV, investment valuations, subscriptions/redemptions, management and performance fees, and other fund‑related balances.
• Conduct audit planning, risk assessment, substantive testing, and finalisation procedures.
• Review work of junior team members and provide guidance.
• Liaise directly with fund managers, administrators, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Identify audit and accounting issues and communicate findings to managers/partners.
• Ensure engagements are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of external audit experience.
• Prior experience auditing investment funds is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and audit procedures.
• Exposure to hedge funds, private equity, mutual funds, MPF, Cayman funds, or similar structures.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
