Senior Backend Developer (Java/Spring)

About the role

Currenxie is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to design and deliver high‑performance, scalable services for its global finance platform. You will work in an agile, multinational team building APIs and backend systems that power multi‑currency wallets, virtual accounts and instant Visa cards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop secure backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot and JPA.
• Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions and contribute to solution architecture.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product owners and other engineers.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and automated tests to ensure high quality.
• Refactor and improve existing codebases, diagnose bugs and performance issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
