Senior C++ Software Engineer

About the role

Flow Traders is seeking experienced Senior C++ Software Engineers to join its Hong Kong team. You will work on the firm’s event‑driven trading platform, building low‑latency systems that process massive data streams and support thousands of products across global venues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and global rollout of the Core platform used by market‑data, quantitative research, pricing and strategy groups.
• Design and implement exchange connectivity modules (FIX, WebSocket, HTTP) and optimise communication via kernel bypass and TLS.
• Develop tools and frameworks for data‑driven systematic pricing and trading strategies.
• Collaborate with quants, traders and engineers to refine requirements, iterate on design and deliver high‑performance code.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, improve stability, reliability and performance of the trading engine.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional C++ development experience, preferably in proprietary trading.
• BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures and multithreaded programming.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
