Senior Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council is seeking a dynamic, high‑calibre Human Resources professional to join its team as a Senior Human Resources Officer. The role will support the full spectrum of HR services and contribute to the Council’s mission of promoting Hong Kong trade.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment, performance management and other HR functions.
• Assist with compensation and benefits processes, including insurance renewal, pay trend review and promotion exercises.
• Manage employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.
• Help supervisors formulate, review and implement HR policies aligned with organisational goals and statutory requirements.
• Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to build team capability and sustain high performance.
• Prepare HR reports, analytics and system‑generated data to support operations and decision‑making.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required profile

• University graduate or equivalent, preferably in a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant HR experience in a sizable organisation, with exposure to compensation & benefits, performance management and employee relations.
• Hands‑on experience with HRIS platforms supporting core HR processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees at all levels.
• Strong work ethic, high integrity and a service‑oriented, detail‑focused attitude.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
