Senior Manager – IT Procurement

About the role

The Senior Manager, IT Procurement will support the Head of IT Procurement in shaping and executing strategic sourcing initiatives across the organisation. This role ensures that all IT procurement activities deliver optimal value while complying with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of IT Procurement in developing and implementing category management strategies for the Group’s IT spend.
• Facilitate approval processes for IT procurement projects and ensure adherence to company procurement policy.
• Lead sourcing project review meetings with stakeholders to drive vendor decisions and achieve best procurement outcomes.
• Develop sourcing strategies with IT and business partners to select vendors at optimal price and performance.
• Manage end‑to‑end RFX processes for assigned IT sourcing projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to secure necessary documentation and approvals.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, capturing business, technical, commercial and legal requirements.
• Provide regular analytics, spend analysis and cost‑saving recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• University degree in Procurement, IT, Computer Science or related field; CIPS qualification preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technology procurement and vendor management, preferably in financial services or insurance.
• Proven experience running large‑scale RFP/RFX projects and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of IT categories such as hardware, software, telecom and professional services.
• Ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders and navigate differing priorities.
• Familiarity with procurement policies, best practices and procurement software tools.
• Understanding of financial regulatory requirements and basic contract principles.
