Senior TechOps & Deployment Engineer

About the role

As a Senior TechOps & Deployment Engineer you will lead the deployment, integration and technical operations of intelligent retail systems such as RFID, people counters, EAS and IoT devices. The role involves direct customer‑facing communication, travel of about 20‑30% and occasional out‑of‑business‑hours work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onsite deployment, configuration, system tuning and integration with customer networks, POS systems and cloud platforms.
• Execute acceptance testing, handover and provide 2nd‑ and 3rd‑line technical support.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, implement permanent fixes and continuously improve system stability.
• Drive end‑to‑end project execution, including planning, schedule tracking, risk and issue management.
• Act as the primary technical interface for customers during deployments, cutovers and issue resolution.
• Deliver training and technical enablement for business partners.
• Manage support tickets end‑to‑end, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and post‑incident reviews.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in technical operations, deployment or system integration.
• Proven customer‑facing communication skills, able to brief non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; additional languages (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai) are a plus.
• Proactive, ownership‑driven mindset with responsible use of AI/automation.

Required skills

• Networking concepts: IP, DHCP, VLAN, PoE, router/switch configuration.
• Scripting/automation: Python, Shell, JavaScript (or similar).
• Hands‑on experience with RFID, IoT and sensor systems (strong plus).
