Shift Technician – Data Center Operations

About the role

DayOne is seeking a Shift Technician to support the operation and maintenance of its high‑performance data centre facilities. The role involves monitoring critical infrastructure, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to incidents to ensure continuous, reliable service.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain cooling, power distribution, UPS, generators, and fire‑suppression systems.
• Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs.
• Use Building Management Systems (BMS) and other monitoring tools to track facility performance and analyse data.
• Manage incidents according to protocols, coordinate with vendors, and document all activities in the maintenance management system.
• Follow health and safety procedures, participate in drills, and report hazards.
• Collaborate with fellow shift technicians and support staff to ensure smooth shift handovers and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience working with data centre or critical infrastructure equipment.
• Ability to respond quickly to alarms and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Strong attention to safety and procedural compliance.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.
