Shipping Planner – Transportation Optimization

About the role

As part of the Shipping Planning team, you will support transportation optimisation and cost reductions through proactive, continuous‑improvement initiatives. You will also manage changes by collaborating with internal operations and external logistics partners, including suppliers and freight forwarders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze bulk plan results (container loading plans) regularly to optimise plans against market priorities and company objectives.
• Maintain accurate logistics data in the system to ensure correct loading plans.
• Validate final loading plans and act as the primary contact to communicate shipping instructions to suppliers and 3PLs.
• Decide between direct shipment and CFS options with global cost optimisation in mind.
• Negotiate and control any extra‑trucking fees.
• Identify potential improvements in filing rate, cost, container mix and bulk‑plan parameters.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on top offenders and develop action plans.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, shipping & logistics operations or transportation.
• Strong experience with SAP or Oracle and a Transportation Management System.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Adaptable, detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
