Site Reliability Engineer – Elite Quant Fund – Hong Kong

About the role

Our client, a leading global quantitative trading firm, is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to own and evolve the infrastructure that powers mission‑critical trading systems. You will work on highly scalable, resilient platforms that operate 24/7 across a hybrid environment in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery.
• Strengthen platform observability through monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Create automation and self‑service tooling that engineers rely on.
• Support containerised workloads and orchestration across large‑scale environments.
• Drive reliability, performance, and scalability improvements for distributed systems and middleware.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and automation experience.
• Track record of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid grasp of monitoring, logging and observability platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
• Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, Bash or similar).
• Genuine passion for building reliable, highly available platforms.
