Software Developer – Web Maintenance & Tools

About the role

VSL, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, is seeking a Software Developer to join its Hong Kong office. The position is centred on maintaining the company’s existing web platform and building small, purpose‑built tools that improve the efficiency of web‑based applications. You will work closely with clients and internal project teams to ensure the digital solutions meet operational needs and support VSL’s ambitious R&D agenda across construction and engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and modify the current website in response to client requests, ensuring functionality, security, and performance.
• Develop lightweight software utilities that streamline internal web applications and automate routine tasks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, test new features, and deploy updates.
• Document changes and provide technical support to end‑users as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong written and spoken proficiency in both Chinese and English.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; up to one year of relevant experience is considered a plus.
• Holding a Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence is preferred.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt quickly to evolving project requirements.
