Software Engineer II, Asset Management Trading Technology

About the role

As a Software Engineer II in Asset Management Trading Technology, you will help transform trading by designing, building, and evolving high‑performance platforms that manage orders and execute trades across multiple asset classes. You will work closely with traders and quantitative analysts to support critical production applications and automate the order‑management lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot critical trading applications in production, interacting directly with end users.
• Design and implement scalable, high‑throughput trading systems for diverse asset classes.
• Collaborate with traders to deliver impactful, data‑driven solutions.
• Develop core Java applications and contribute Kotlin code where appropriate.
• Architect and integrate next‑generation messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka and AMPS.
• Drive technical innovation, including the adoption of generative AI tools in the development workflow.
• Lead code reviews, mentor teammates, and ensure engineering excellence.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, delivering code to production daily.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience designing and building end‑to‑end software systems.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design and modern software architecture.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Commitment to building reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems.

Required skills

• Core Java development.
• Kotlin (nice to have).
• Experience with messaging and streaming platforms, especially Kafka and AMPS.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools and generative AI practices.
• Proficiency in code review, unit testing, and secure coding standards.
