Solicitor – Legal Business Partner

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor to join our Group as a trusted legal business partner. You will support the General Counsel in delivering pragmatic, risk‑aware advice across legal, compliance and governance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, commercial‑focused legal advice to internal stakeholders, aligning with the Group’s strategic objectives.
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts and agreements to manage commercial and legal risk.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, monitor developments and help business teams operate confidently.
• Prepare meeting agendas, capture accurate notes and produce clear summaries for follow‑up actions.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal legal governance policies.
• Identify emerging legal and commercial risks and propose practical mitigation options.
• Partner with business teams on live commercial projects, anticipating legal issues early.
• Translate legal advice into practical business solutions and support other legal, compliance and business projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong or another common‑law jurisdiction with a current practising certificate.
• At least 5 years post‑qualification experience (8‑10 years overall) in reputable law firms or international companies, preferably with APAC exposure.
• Fluent English; Chinese/Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Proven ability to deliver solution‑oriented legal advice in a fast‑paced setting.
