Solution Architect

About the role

Airport Authority Hong Kong is seeking a Solution Architect to bridge IT and business, ensuring technical solutions align with strategic goals. The role will shape enterprise architecture for corporate services and support the airport’s growth and sustainability agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between IT and business units to align solutions with business objectives.
• Define and maintain solution architecture that balances long‑term strategy with short‑term tactical needs.
• Integrate solutions holistically across lines of business, IT development, infrastructure and operations while adhering to governance processes.
• Drive enterprise architecture roadmap, standards, reference architectures and target‑state blueprints for corporate services.
• Collaborate with other architects to co‑own the overall enterprise architecture strategy.
• Analyse the current IT environment, identify deficiencies and recommend improvement actions.
• Monitor technology and market trends to assess impact on the architecture landscape.
• Promote the development of the AAHK Architecture Practice.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience, including minimum 2 years in solution architecture.
• Professional TOGAF certification preferred.
• Experience with back‑office services in large‑scale organisations.
• Exposure to diverse technologies and processing environments.
• Knowledge of Agile Architecture or DevOps is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to propose pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Chinese proficiency advantageous.
