Sourcing Manager

About the role

Fossil Group is looking for a highly experienced Sourcing Manager who is fluent in Japanese to manage relationships with watch movement suppliers. The role is critical for maintaining supply continuity, mitigating cost impacts, and providing market intelligence in a challenging industry environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for key Japanese movement suppliers, fostering long‑term partnerships and resolving operational bottlenecks.
• Support strategic negotiations on pricing, terms, and supply agreements to secure favorable conditions for the Group.
• Monitor raw material cost fluctuations and conduct cost analysis to manage movement expenses effectively.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align forecasts and support the 6‑ to 12‑month finished‑goods planning process.
• Stay informed on industry dynamics and competitor activities, delivering actionable insights to internal leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in watch sourcing, product development, or watch production, preferably within a watch movement company.
• University degree required.
• Fluent in both Japanese and English (written and verbal).
• Proven ability to work under high pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle overtime as needed.
• Willingness to travel internationally on occasion to meet suppliers and internal teams.
